Developed by Chef Julia Koster as an alternative to the busy dining scene in Summit County which can frequently result in long waits and impossible-to-get reservations, our goal is to bring the fine dining experience to your table.

Meet Chef Julia

Chef Julia began her culinary career on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe in 2010 as a garde manger in the busy kitchens of MontBleu Resort before working her way up the ranks and eventually opening her own catering company. Julia has a passion for wine, desserts and creating elegant dishes representing unique cuisine from around the globe.

Kitchen Notes from Chef Julia: Summer 2021

I am so excited for the spring and summer season here in Colorado. We’re lucky to be situated in a uniquely diverse culinary zone where West Coast collides with the Southwest and East Coast flavors like to sneak in from time to time. Among the dishes you’ll see this summer on my menus are a variety of influences, including from the Caribbean islands where I spent several years in my early 20’s after finishing my masters degree. You’ll also find a great deal of local influence with Palisade Peaches and Sweet Olathe Corn making their debut on my menu this year.

When I first began working in kitchens in 2010, my head chef at the time was a classically trained French chef who taught me to appreciate not just the flavors, but the process that goes into cooking these magical dishes. Tasting the flavors as profiles emerged throughout the cooking time made me realize that slow food is really where it’s at. Slow Food is cuisine that has roots as old as the earth, takes a great amount of care to create and gets better with time just like a fine wine. I look forward to sharing my recipes with you. ~ Julia


  • Chef Julia worked with us on our wedding in Tahoe. She made us a beautiful carrot cake from an old family recipe and helped us coordinate the day’s events, too! It was an awesome day, the cake was gorgeous and everybody raved about how delicious it was. I wish we lived closer – I’d be seeing Julia for that carrot cake more often!


  • Chef Julia has been working with us for a few years now, and we absolutely love her. She creates custom menus for our annual party in September each year, working within fun themes. Our first party was a pirate theme, for which she made all caribbean cuisine… And it has gotten more creative from there. We love working with her and would recommend her to anyone!
